An update to the Server 2008 Web OAB/CMS issues

 13 Aug 2008 08:21:03 pm

I’ve been working with the folks @ MSFT on this issue and figured I would post a brief update.

The Exchange code is getting modified to pass a 503 struct which allows them to pass the name of the node the share should be created against (in this case \\nodename as well as \\cmsname).

There is a fix and it is currently undergoing testing, but has not been released as of yet.

Erik

I do!

I do, thanks for the follow-up!

This issue has been resolved in RU5 for SP1 which was recently released:

Cheers,

Did it break in Update 6?

By : Don Lemare @ Time : 12 Mar 2009 01:04:23 pm :

I installed a CCR cluster with the CAS servers seperate in an NLB scenario, and still having the problem accessing the \\\\CCRNodeName\\ExchangeOAB share. I installed all the rollups, including RU6. Right now the only thing that works is the manual copy method.

Im not aware of a regression issue

I havent seen this regress, nor heard of others that have run into it (not to say that you\'re the only one, just that I havent run into it). If OAB copy to CAS was working correctly prior to RU6 for SP1 I would contact MSFT support, calls should be free for issues related to patches/updates.
